Kids love them. In fact, you don't have to do anything to assemble them other than tie a rope to the kite. The only issue I had was my youngest daughter unwinding it while the kite was in the air and the rope was not attached to the handle. So if I didn't stand there to grab the rope, she would lose them. I had to ask another adult to hold the rope so I could tie the rope to the handle so it didn't fly away. My oldest daughter has a kite of the same height, but she hasn't used all the rope yet, so I haven't had a chance to check the strings on this kite yet. Otherwise this is the only problem we had. They are very durable as we tried to fly them as the wind came and went and they fell to the ground and the wind lifted them back up into the air. They do no harm at all. You can see them high in the air and the kids love it. My dad keeps saying that clipping the tails makes them fly better but I don't see a problem with the tails and they fly with fine dust, it takes a minute to pick them up. Also, the tails look very neat when they are high in the sky. I am thinking of buying more for my nephews when they arrive this summer.
