Review on Dettol Original Anti Bacterial Body Wash, 21.1 Oz/625 Ml (2-Pack) - pH-Balanced by Ebony Shaw

Bought because of body odor - it works! But it smells.

I will tell too much about myself: I understand that after training I smell like chicken soup. Salty, fatty, meat and boiled. My friend said it smelled funny and I was initially hoping I could cover up/eliminate it with body spray, but the body spray basically did nothing after I started exercising. After doing some research, I realized that the smell of chicken soup is the result of the bacteria living on my skin consuming the sweat I produce, so logically an antibacterial body wash should eliminate my body odor. I was skeptical but used it after my Monday workout. I read in reviews that this soap has a slight odor. I want to clarify that in a way it has a light scent. If you've ever traveled and stopped at a gas station to use the bathroom, you'll notice this smell. It's not offensive, it's not strong, but it just smells like super all-purpose soap that's often used at a gas station. Then I washed this soap with another scented soap that I like. And here at my workout the next day - no smell! I will say my skin feels noticeably drier but I don't feel like I still have the same chicken soup smell. I think I read that this soap can be used every day but given my dry skin I would probably recommend using it once a week. Odor. I wish it didn't smell like gas station soap, but that in and of itself isn't a bad smell. I would recommend using it once a week and then using whatever scented soap you like and be sure to moisturize with lotion. Overall a good product but ideally it should smell like mint.
