Fun toy for a child with a latex allergy

This review was written by a parent of a child with a severe latex allergy. My wife and son have very severe contact allergic reactions to latex. This means that my son who is now 11 years old has never been able to play with a latex balloon. We can't jump to features that contain speech bubbles. When we go to the carnival or any other place where children are running around with balloons, we always have to be very alert to the point where he doesn't want to leave because we are constantly nervous. Participation in birthday parties only takes place after repeated assurances from the host parents that there will be no balloons. got picture? Something he always wanted to do was have a water balloon fight. He watches his friends run and laugh and squirt, not daring to come near. So far. No, Water Wubbles do not behave like normal latex balloons. They are a sophisticated non-latex membrane with a special inflation port that uses the pressure of the water inside the "balloon" to keep it closed. Once filled and tossed, it looks more like a chaos ball than a water balloon, and water will not exit the large fill hole until the pressure inside has overcome the valve. It will not burst like a normal latex water balloon. But for a kid who never knew the joy of throwing a water balloon at their older sister, this was the best gift ever. They played and played and played. He found that if you fill one of them with the folded valve sticking out and roll it down the driveway, it will pour out torrents of water like a fountain. We've come up with games where you throw a full glass back and forth until it overflows or someone drops it. Lots of laughter. It was such a positive experience for our son that we would be happy if they only lasted 20 minutes BUT they were used a lot with no problems. If overfilled or used/pulled over a rough surface, the diaphragm may rupture. For us, Water Wubbbles has been a great product.
