Review on ION Slam Bluetooth Speaker Black by Badpuppy Warton

This was purchased specifically for our wedding which was small, only about 25 people. We needed something that could be used as a speaker so our guests could hear the outdoor ceremony and it felt like it would fit the bill. We also used it for music when my wife came to our ceremony. It worked great, better than we had hoped. First, as a speaker paired with a microphone, this is an excellent product. We also bought a cheap microphone and plugged it in straight away, worked straight away, no issues. The volume was easily adjustable and when the volume was turned up to 1/4 everyone in the garden could hear it. We had older people with us, so we wanted everyone to be able to listen and have fun. It worked great. Our wedding venue didn't have anything like this and we decided not to hire a DJ so with the money saved it was a great solution for our needs. It's great for music. It doesn't weigh that much, so traveling with it is a pleasure. If you're like me you tend to judge quality by the weight of certain things, but this speaker confused me in that regard. The physical size isn't bad, it's an almost perfect cube and easy to move around. The integrated handle on the back is a nice touch. It fits easily in a canvas tote bag and won't slip off your shoulder when carried. I understand that sound quality is subjective for everyone so I can't tell you that you will be amazed by the sound quality, but I can tell you that both my wife and I are delighted with it. Excellent bass, pleasant highs and mids were exactly as they should be. It doesn't matter whether it's jazz, rock, classical, I personally think it's great. The water and dust resistance is a nice touch, meaning you can keep it in the garage when working on vehicles or outside by the pool without worrying about kids splashing it. The ports are covered with durable rubber covers that provide ample protection when not in use. The handles seem to be well closed inside. The display is easy to read, a nice light blue color, and pairing the speaker to my phone was a breeze. DJ at our small wedding and went with this one instead. I can confirm the physical noise level, it can get loud when you turn it on. I didn't notice any distortion during testing and found that a volume setting as low as 50% fills the room with great sound. I have yet to test the battery, but so far the Tailgater Express has exceeded my expectations. I will find this very useful when working on a truck or on the road in general. This is a great sounding speaker that is perfect for our needs. I would like to buy it again.
