As soon as they arrived I took them out and used them to fix all my furniture. They are permanent markers. Make sure the colors match, because if you use a dark marker on a light-colored piece of furniture, it will look like a kid just painted your furniture. Most of my furniture is dark, so dark markers work great. I marked the area and then immediately ran my finger over it to blend the paint. I tried using colored pencils but found them harsh. I was expecting a texture that could be shaped and placed in a hole, but that wasn't the case. Not the fault of the manufacturer, but my wish. For the price of these markers, I love that I can "wipe" any dents out of my furniture, put some furniture oil on them and make them shine like new!
