This lumbar pillow is definitely of good quality. It's a bit hard for me, but maybe it will "break" like a memory foam mattress? Currently, he is simply offering a new type of back pain relief. LOL But - I've only been using it for two days and I know that something like this (like a new mattress) takes a minute to get used to and a long time to work. My back isn't used to being at this angle, and even when properly aligned, it doesn't take on any changes.
