It contains crystals. The crystals are also very strongly tilted; This may be due to a manufacturing oversight or loose crystals. The moon ornament also dangles and shifts when worn which looks awful. The headband itself was bent; I can't say if it has anything to do with shipping. It looks nice on the shelf (if you like it), but it's definitely useless as it is. I have purchased other crowns and have been satisfied but this item was a complete disappointment.
