honest review. I originally received a FREE sample of this product after ordering a different carrier oil from the seller. Nothing was offered and I was not asked to leave a review in exchange for the product. I went back and bought another bottle because I love how my skin looks after using this product. I am a 48 year old African American and I am often told that I look much younger than I am. For years I have struggled with some of the typical plaque melanization issues such as hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma and have visited countless non-AA dermatologists for one treatment or another. I also have very sensitive and oily skin so I usually avoid oils on my face and using a high SPF moisturizer (55 for me) is a must! I use this oil every night as part of my skincare routine. I had no breakouts, no skin blocks, no blemishes for months and my melasma was gone. I used the prescription for Retina A (which I was told is to prevent wrinkles, no problem for me or any woman in my family; when I complained that my skin looked much lighter than I would like, my dermatologist told me that this is not a little lighter than my complex allows for whatever that means.She also told me that I have Irish skin and would highly recommend a high SPF moisturizer daily year round to use). Retin A, of course, not only made my skin sensitive to the sun and waxing my eyebrows caused a burning sensation, but also over-illuminated the cheek area and was noticeable. I gave up on this product over $200 ($80 with GoodRX coupon) and settled on $9.99 Rosehip Oil which has been a GREAT addition to my skincare routine!
