Excellent machine with the best printer ink and toner

Previously I had an HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP for my home office which I was quite happy with but was looking for something a little faster and dual sided printing and scanning. I was initially drawn to the HP m477fdw, but I took a bit of a risk and went with Xerox, and I'm glad I did. on the LCD. I just skipped all the security and PIN info as this is a home office. On my Windows 10 machine, I first just added the printer through Windows, installed the drivers, and everything seemed to work fine, but I later found that this method had some limitations (duplex printing had to be enabled by the additional Xerox Experience application installed). So I installed the latest printer and scanner drivers from the Xerox website for the 6515 and they worked great. Duplex printing is enabled by default. When installing the scanner driver, you can select TWAIN or WIA. Nothing had worked when I installed TWAIN, but when I installed WIA I found that all the third party scanning software I had worked (VueScan, HP Scan and Capture from the Windows Store, and Windows Scan that came with Windows becomes). Alternatively, by sharing the folder in Windows, one could easily find this folder on the printer's control panel and set it as the scan destination. It remembers the folder and credentials for all future scans, it takes a few seconds to login each time. All of the computers on my wireless network found the printer with no problem and can print and scan to and from it wirelessly. Downloading the Android plugin from the store also allows my phone to print to the printer wirelessly without any problems. I don't know why anyone would buy a wireless module. Pros: - Speed in both printing and scanning. Much faster than my HP 200. Based on specs and reviews it should be slightly faster than 477. - Easy to set up - Quality output. Color rendition and exposure accuracy of images at altitude. I thought my HP was good, but then I realized that the HP colors and photo exposure weren't that accurate. One-pass duplex scanning. The HP 477 has no duplex scanning at all, let alone single pass. Make two-sided copies very quickly - The control panel flips up so you can scan books that protrude from the tablet. Apparently HP can't do that. - Build Quality - Low power consumption for this speed class so the lights in the room don't dim like the Samsung I tried. Cons (minor): - Control panel is slow (by smartphone standards) but similar to HP - Needs 10 seconds to warm up before the control panel can be used. HP 200 was snappy - Still noisy (fan) in low power standby. HP 200 was silent. I have configured Xerox to hibernate after 2 minutes (minimum) of inactivity (6 minutes by default). Sleep mode is silent. Depending on the content, it takes about 20-30 seconds for the first page to wake up from sleep. If I know I'm going to write something soon, I can wake it up manually by pressing the power button. - HP text was a little bolder, making it a little easier to read. Scanning software, but third-party software works well.
