Review on 🩹 Medvance Soft Silicone Tape for Easy Cut - 1" Width, Perforated (1 Pack, 1.5 Yards) by Gary Hall

I have a severe reaction to standard medical tape (due to MCAS) but I needed a band-aid to keep bandages on a very slow healing wound (for months). After hearing from other people with the same condition and allergies to medical tape, I learned that many of them can tolerate silicone tape. I made this purchase and did a mock test on a healthy part of my skin overnight to see if I would have a reaction. hallelujah, no reaction and almost waterproof as a plus! Also, it is much easier to remove from sensitive or thin skin than regular tape. Those are the pros and cons and the reason it doesn't give a 5 star rating is that it doesn't stick well to bandages/gauze. It sticks at first, but if you move it, the bandage will slip off the tape and/or the tape will pucker. However, if it is used in an area where there is no movement, it will likely work just fine. I was able to make it work better by changing the type of bandage I use. If you have good adhesion, it's quite waterproof. When crumpled or twisted, it will come loose. It's a little harder to use than standard tape but for those of us who can't use standard medical tape this has been my life saver and I've had to use it for over a month now and still have no reactions, for me it is it's totally worth all the other troubles with it!
