Approximately the length of a standard keyboard, not too hard or too soft. It feels like it will hold its shape for a long time. I'm glad it has a "non-slip" bottom and works well and doesn't slide on my desk at all. I thought it might be too big but it's perfect. I didn't expect to have to move the keyboard to use it properly *picture for reference*. But overall it looks like a great product. I hope it stays that way for a while. I will update the review if necessary. Edit: added photos
