My dog Atticus LOVES the Chilly Dog sweater. Excellent sweaters, well tailored, hand knitted, all wool as far as we have purchased. I ordered three new Chilly Dog sweaters to get my dog ready for fall. He has his own thin coat, so he's often cold - definitely Cold Dog. When it got cold enough here in Virginia, I decided to dress Atticus in this beautiful bright red. It's thick and warm, but slightly stretchy. He has a broad chest, so finding clothes for dogs is difficult for him. These Chilly Dog sweaters tend to be a bit longer, but it's fine as long as they can fit his chest and stomach and cover his bum when he's lying down. So, let's get down to business - he refused to let me take that sweater. of it as soon as it was switched on. He usually lets me take off his dog clothes, especially when it's raining outside and we need to put a raincoat on him. Forget that every time I tried to take that sweater off, he turned on me and ran away. Once I managed to take it off to make sure it didn't tangle (not unravel). While I was looking at the sweater, Atticus walked over and stuck his head in the wrong place with the sweater collar and tried to get inside the sweater. He never does! So the sweater is back. The second time, with Hubbie's help, I was able to take this sweater off to wash it, and then when it was dry Atticus immediately wanted to put the sweater back on. Let's just say two more new sweaters and his first Chilly Dog sweater of two. years ago may come in handy this winter. I think he's really into that red sweater.
