I bought it because of the price. It cost $25 versus $125 for a Microsoft branded charger and considering it lasted less than 2 years I figured I had nothing to lose by buying it. I've had it for 2 weeks now and it works perfectly. The charger doesn't get hot like Microsoft's. If this $25 charger lasts a year, I'll get my money's worth. There's a slight difference in the quality of this charger - it doesn't have the solid weight of a Microsoft charger, but I love that it comes with a velcro strap to neatly wrap and secure the cable. The connector also has a clip that allows me to attach it to the cable for storage. None of these features were included with the Microsoft Charger. I didn't give 5 stars just because I've only had this charger for 2 weeks and can't say how long it will last.
