, I was looking for an oiler with a handle to lift the lid. Our other ceramic plate didn't have a handle and I was always afraid of dropping it. As I get older, I find my grip isn't as sure. It's easy to grab the handle and remove the lid. As a plus, I can put two packets of butter in it. It's an enamelled metal that should hold up well until I chip it off! Expensive but hopefully lasts forever!
