Everything went well at first. I decided to install an internal hard drive and bought a new WD hard drive as per kingdel's instructions. Tried to install, doesn't work. BIOS will not see it. After spending several hours trying to figure out what was going on, I decided to replace the SATA cable even though the cable that came in the computer's box was brand new. Bingo is the problem. So first problem - delivered with a bad SATA cable, although Kingdel insisted everything was checked. Right. Is EVERY component, including cables, of every computer sold tested? No way. So we had a computer that could be used for a couple of weeks. Then one day the computer just wouldn't turn on, period. I made sure all the cords and plugs were secure, I unplugged it for a while and plugged it back in, took it to a known working outlet, whatever I could think of. So I contacted Kingdel and they told me to remove the motherboard battery to see if the problem was static electricity. I followed her instructions exactly. It did not work. Then they told me to replace the PSU. I did, and voila - the computer worked again. So strike 2 - the power pack that came with the machine was enough for 2 weeks. So now I have power again and even Kingdel refunded me for the power supply I had to buy. I thought ok good service a few accidents but now I'm ready right? NO. Since the power supply failed, I can't complete the Windows installation either on the supplied SSD or on the purchased HDD. The BIOS sees the drives, but when I install Windows to the point where it freezes and then press Shift-F10 to get a command prompt and then launch Device Manager, there are VERY basic components that Windows doesn't seems to recognize or has drivers. Per. For example the bus controller and about 6 or 7 other major components that are part of the motherboard and are not recognized by Windows. WHY? Well, after checking this out, 2 of my friends who are computer engineers assume that when the power was turned off, some electronics on the motherboard were knocked out, so the drives themselves are visible, but the bus controller and other components aren't working properly. They told me I would have to ship it to CHINA (what?) at MY OWN expense, although it is clear that when I bought it it was shipped from a US warehouse because it got here a day just before Christmas. So now I have a BRICK for a computer I spent over $700 on that worked for 2 weeks and a few components failed and my friends and I spent many hours dealing with all the issues and now do you want me to give you this thing back MY cost? To China? Shipping costs me 80€! That's over 10% of what I originally paid for it! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! They use cheap components and then make YOU pay for shipping when those components need to be replaced.
