This is a change from the original negative review. The problem was my stupidity, not the issue. There is a "handle" under the device that needs to be rotated. I took a wrong turn! Bend the device slightly, then rotate your hand to lock that position and increase the arc. This should happen easily and smoothly. I bought this because the other type holds you in three static positions. This offers multiple adjustable positions, costs less, and is more stable than the alternative. Highly recommended.
