I tried the 1.5 inch mattress topper on a friend after she said she liked it. I chose the 2 inch Lucid mattress, hoping it wouldn't be too thick (I've tried Tempurpedic beds and they make me feel like I'm being sucked into the sink). It's good! I've been using it for a good month and my sleep has improved a lot. My hips don't hurt (I have a hard mattress) and I'm not banned from driving at all. It's not hot, I've slept in it on warm nights like the 70's. If I wash my sheets once a week, I keep turning the topper. Maybe I don't need it, but I was afraid of getting "dead zones". After a month, it doesn't wear out at all. That was really money well spent for me. Update after 5 months: Just wanted to point out that his mattress topper is just as comfortable as it was when I first got it. It's sturdy, I flip it every time I change sheets (I don't know if I need to flip it but I do). Holds up very well. I am very happy. I wish I had had this article many years ago. I don't dare lie down on it in the middle of the day or I'll never want to get up again.
