The ONLY coating on this item is on the end where the control and dimmer power cable is and a small piece of clear heat shrink tubing at the very end of the item. It doesn't appear to have any electrical safety devices or power control components in its electronics (see photos) other than the power supply, which I don't think is safe enough on its own. It's basically a giant bare wire with unlimited access to the full power of the grid, meaning anything it touches will catch fire. There's no safe use for it, I'm not even sure if it's legal to sell in the US. I will get a refund and strongly advise against purchasing.
