My son is 12 years old, 5ft 1in and weighs 128 pounds. I bought him a size XL which according to the size chart is a size 18-20 and fits 13-14 year olds. My son usually wears youth tops in sizes L to XL. This shirt is tight for him as it should fit, but it seemed a little short in the upper body. If your child has a short side like me, it will hit the top of the hips. The tightness of the shirt made it difficult for him to put it on and take it off, but that was to be expected. I bought this for his Halloween costume (he was Drift from Fortnite). This shirt fit my son. The arms and torso are just like Drift's shirt, very tight. It was only 25 degrees and that night here in northeast Indiana, it was half raining. So we needed something to keep my son warm without ruining the suit. This shirt did just that. The only thing keeping the cold off was his fingers because of the fingerless gloves. His chest and arms were burned! I was also concerned at first because he has asthma, which only showed up last year when he started getting a bad cough. I took his winter coat with me just in case, but he didn't even need it! All he needed were his other gloves!
