I've thought about trying stone coasters as they can be very decorative, but having used them in the past I don't think they absorb water very well, especially if you like using ice in your drink. However, they do an excellent job of draining condensation and there's plenty of room for everything. The coaster "sticks" to any surface it sits on, so it won't slide all over you every time you pick up or put a drink down. And if it contains water, just take it to the sink and shake it off. Light! And I love that they can be washed in the dishwasher. The diameter is suitable for any conventional glass or mug, even with a small rim.
