Excellent. Absolutely great. Holds my HDS 9 Gen 3 very securely while still allowing for easy and smooth adjustments. This thing is surprisingly well built, especially for its price. The holes even matched the factory gimbal so I didn't have to drill anymore. Perfect cantilever mount for perch. The only drawback for me is the lack of cable routing options. For that reason I would give 4.5 stars if I could, but didn't feel like it was a problem enough to warrant a full star. I ended up buying a 1 inch piece of HDPE (starboard) from this big auction, cut it to size, finished the edges and then cut a channel in it with a router. From there I had a cable management base and a base that the RAM mount bolts to. For those wondering what hardware to use to bolt the mount on, I found #12 x 1" stainless steel self-tapping screws (x4) to hold it nicely if the nut and bolt combo doesn't work for your setup. If you're unfamiliar, don't be fooled by the "sheet metal" distinction. They have very coarse threads that bite well and don't come loose easily. Obviously this is necessary for sheet metal work, but it works very well with wood, fiberglass, and even plastic, as in my setup. An added bonus for me was that these screws weren't long enough to go all the way through the homemade cable manager mentioned above.
