for massages. I've tried several other types of pillows and they just made the trip bearable - this pillow set got rid of my back and hip pain. I only used them for a week and a half but that involved an 8 hour round trip trip out of town. Although pillows make driving a car with uncomfortable seats painless, they're not the kind of pillow you sit on and sigh happily because they're so comfortable - they're firm. Initially I thought they were too tight as they don't have a tailbone shape or neckline and it was uncomfortable at first but I'm not uncomfortable anymore. I'm less than 5 feet tall and the back cushion helped propel me forward enough so that the front of the seat was no longer pressing against my leg. Conversely, the bottom cushion has a significant impact on my height and I'm still trying to find a comfortable spot where I don't have to slide the car seat forward to reach the pedals, which puts me too close to the steering wheel and awkwardly tilting my leg. I drive a 2009 RAV-4 and they fit great. Other pillows I used moved and even fell out of the car when I got out - these didn't move. I have cloth seat covers so I'm not sure if they would stay in place even if they were directly on the leather. I didn't bother attaching the bottom strap to the back cushion as it doesn't move at all. I'm hesitant to give them 5 stars as I've used them for such a short time and the price is high. If I continue to feel comfortable AND they last long I'll upgrade my rating to 5 stars.
