ORIGINAL REVIEW: Joysticks were almost perfect. They're comfortable to hold and the full-size analog sticks help a lot. While they're better than official joycons, they're also pretty stiff and have a noticeable dead zone when playing shooting games or games where aiming with the right joystick is important. . Most games won't have a problem, but games like Fortnite and similar shooters will notice how hard you have to push the joystick in a certain direction before it registers. Aiming with the gyroscope really helps, but I still had to struggle with the right stick to get where I wanted to go. I ended up returning the joycons. Attach these joysticks for better access to the SL and SR buttons (see image on blue joystick with strap attached). This time I chose the gray ones (which come with a handle for wireless use when the Switch is docked). Analog sticks feel much better on them, leading me to suspect the other set was defective. While they're not on the same level as, say, the Pro Controller, they feel pretty good if a bit over-sensitive (had to turn the settings down a couple of games to get it right). Motion controls work without issues, but the rumble isn't HD (which can interfere with games like Mario Party) and might be too strong for some people. Compared to the Hori Split Pad Pro, it's a matter of taste. The sticks on the split tablet seem better and more responsive (but I think that's because they're bigger than the Kinvoca), but the lack of rumble and motion controls, the fact that they're only portable and quite large The size (affects portability) makes me lean more towards Kinvoca joycons. Pros and cons + big grip/position + big joysticks + left joystick has a D-pad + motion controls + wireless (can be played in dock/tabletop mode) + gray version. comes with handle for dock/desk play. can be too strong in some cases (disable in settings) - USB-C ports makes docking difficult (also blocks a USB port on the dock) - bug waking switch wirelessly (only when joysticks were plugged into switch) - lanyards fit but do not attach
