The soap itself is good. I noticed a moderate improvement in the condition of the skin, it became less dry. I've been using a gel cleanser for many years as I think it's the best way to reduce waste, but my skin was drying out so I needed something more nourishing. This product is good enough but I need the same amount of face lotion as any other cleanser. The company is ethical, but it takes a lot of washing and lathering to give me enough lather to feel clean. This may be a personal question, but an important one for me nonetheless. The packaging is made of plastic, which is technically not a problem. However, I have found that most plastic containers advertised as recyclable do not have the properties required for reuse or, if they do, are not used as intended. That being said, I'm switching back to a facial cleanser, obviously a different brand than what I was previously using. It lasts much longer than before and the packaging is compostable.
