Review on Samsung Thunderbolt Business Display LF32TU872VNXGO: 4K, πŸ’» 3840X2160P, Adjustable Height, Anti-Glare Coating, Flicker-Free with HDMI Port by Bob Tyus

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The second monitor I got now shows 5 dead pixels that weren't there.

I've had this monitor for almost a week now and I have to say it's fantastic! I'm primarily a Mac user (MacBook Pro 15" 2017) and occasionally use a PC. I mainly use this monitor for work as a programmer/data scientist. I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this monitor as previous reviews said it was Text appeared pixelated or jagged on the screen. I agree that out of the box text looks awful on this screen. I did a little more research and accepted a suggestion from Redditors to disable SAMSUNG MAGIC UPSCALE. This caused it this didn't solve the problem. I kept playing around with the settings on the monitor and finally found a solution. Just change the GAME MODE setting to Always On. This immediately fixed the pixelated text problem. I will say that though this screen is not a replacement for a mac retina display, the mac screen is still much better but if you are a programmer like me un d need a lot of screen real estate to work with, this monitor is just what you need is fantastic.

Pros
  • Check out this type of monitor first, so it's too early to make a full assessment. So far it works very well!
Cons
  • It was a good monitor but I returned it and went for the BenQ 3200U; it is a far superior product.
