I had a pillow insert from my first pregnancy and it worked well although the monster took up a lot of space in our bed. Poor husband. But you know. We bought the case because the liner ripped and since using it again we wanted to "stop the bleeding". It's all right. I don't like pressure, but that's not the point. It compresses the pillow a bit (maybe the new pillows are a bit smaller than the ones sold in 2017) and it was very difficult to insert the pillow. It also makes the pillow stiffer. But it serves its purpose.
