Photo shows (left) my clear low shank ruler foot and (right) a product that is also advertised as a low shank ruler foot. I wanted this new metal foot because it has a threaded hole, although the existing clear foot fits my low shank Singer machine. My clear foot fits the 3mm free lift ruler for low shank lathes. The metal one is too high and when attached sits squarely on the needle plate preventing the fabric from moving underneath. Not recommended for use on low shank sewing machines and 3mm FMQ rulers.
