Review on Kanto DMS1000 Desktop 17 Inch Displays by Micheal Wolf

I bought this to install an extra screen on my desk without taking up extra desk space. It fits the bill and I was impressed with the build quality and design. First, this product is RELIABLE. Nothing looks cheap. The movement is smooth and the tension is freely adjustable with the supplied wrenches. The strut and all support arms have no flex and appear to be extremely strong. I have no doubt that this stand will last for at least a few years. Secondly, it becomes clear that the designers have thought through the design well. Once properly set up, my monitor is fully adjustable in almost any direction, and once set up, it stays in place. For installation, the stand is mounted in two ways: either through a hole in the table or on the side of the table. I had to use the second method and I appreciate the way this stand is attached - it attaches to the table with a screw that goes through the top of the brace which is then covered by the bracket itself. Compared to the bottom screw mount, this is a seemingly small but incredibly useful design choice. I can't use a mount that screws on from the bottom due to the design of my desk - it just doesn't leave more than an inch and a half of room. With this design I only need a half inch gap. It also provides a cleaner view if the back of the mount is visible for any reason.
