Works great and perfect for protecting Canon DSLR ports.
I needed a longer cable to connect my Canon DSLR to an external monitor and while I had no problem finding good mini HDMI to HDMI cables, the problem was that they either were too large to fit the Canon cable protector or too loose for the cable protector to be effective. So I decided to buy this adapter (6 inch). The end of the mini HDMI fits snugly into the protector and is long enough to wrap through the cable clamp. This reduces port wear and improves port efficiency. protection (the longer HDMI-to-HDMI cable must be disconnected from the adapter first) and short enough to be out of the way.
