What you need to know about installing on a 2019 Yamaha Super Tenere ES

Quick Installation Guide on a 2019 Yamaha Super Tenere ES (1200cc). Remove the existing plastic frame sliders from your bike (these holes are used in the handlebars). When fitting a new handlebar, use the bolts that came with the handlebar, but use washers removed from the bike. The washers that come off the bike are slightly larger than the washers that come with the kit. You will need a long socket wrench extension to attach the bars. Place a side plank with loose screws to see the fit. Then install the two brackets bolted to the front engine mounts one at a time. I recommend reusing the motor mounting bolts that are on the motor. Install the right bracket by loosening the top and bottom motor mounting screws on the right side of the motor, leaving the top and bottom left motor-to-motor mounting screws. Before proceeding to install the left side bracket to the engine mount, attach the rail that connects the two engine mount plates together. You will need to place this part between two motor mounts during assembly or you will need to remove a motor base plate. Then continue with the assembly of the left side bracket and screw in the connection bar during assembly. You can always put the outer guards on either side of the bike. This means you can mount the two front engine mounts with the screws tightened and the cross member attached and then put on the two underride protection strips. I would like to note an anomaly. The connecting rod (small tube that connects two mounting plates together) has a vertical extension about 3 inches long with a small hole on the flattened end. This stop is intended to be connected to an existing (small) screw on the bike. In 2019 this mount did not match the small screw on the bike. I just taped the end and left it. From the looks of it, the small screw that should have gone in the hole is the screw holding the support bracket that already holds the metal tube and two rubber hoses on the way to the front wheel. I don't think I want to install a skid plate cross member on the front hub bracket. Think about it!
