Outer shade material Superb and once assembled this lamp looks great! The remote control is very handy and I love that I can change the color of the lightbulb with the push of a button. My frustration was in the build process. due to poor build quality. The lampshade frame is attached to the lamp body with a spring compressor, which keeps the outside taut and wrinkle-free. The problem is that even at the lowest tension, the spring keeps pushing the cover out of the frame. I used to assemble racing car engines and it was an easy decision for me, but I think it will be much more difficult for others. Perhaps manufacturers fix this with a lighter gauge spring or a stronger curtain/frame mount. that it will be much more difficult for others.
