Flattering, except.

I love how it looks on me, but here's my full experience. First, it arrived, I opened it, and it was like a fragrance explosion went off. Whatever detergent they used was pungent enough to fill my downstairs. This gave me an allergic reaction and a migraine. I washed it 5 times without luck. I tried baking soda and vinegar, but it still stunk. I had to buy deodorizing spray. That was effective. It still smells if I put my nose right up to it, but I can wear it without dying.Next caveat, it looks unflattering unless you iron the pleats. I had fun ironing because I sew couture and know my way around fabric draping. I might post an ironing video later to show the technique to get the pleats and gathering to fall in a flattering way for your body type. One thing that perturbs me is the stitching quality. The stitches are sturdy, but the sewing looks rushed, puckered and uneven if you look closely. It makes me uneasy because it's the same sewing level I was at when I was 11, so I worry this was made abroad with child labor. You never know.Overall I got a lot of compliments when I wore it for Valentine's day. If you plan on buying it, take a color season quiz to see what color you should buy for your hair, skin, and eye color. There are so many colors available for this dress, there's bound to be something flattering for you.

Pros
  • The dress is easy to care for and can be machine washed
Cons
  • May not be as comfortable as some other types of clothing
