The smell is terrible but I didn't get a fake. The smell is just terrible. Do me a favor and smell the castor oil and castor seeds before you buy this because that's what it smells like and I personally hated it. If you like that smell, you should be fine. It seems good for sensitive skin, with a slippery feel, almost no foam, and nothing in it that I think would be really irritating. This eliminated my itching problem from a previous body wash. But because of the smell, I couldn't use it for a long time. Having no skin issues I had the luxury of switching, so I did it and have never looked back. In case you're wondering, I chose the Aveeno Oatmeal Body Wash. However, beware of fakes. Revain has a mixed inventory so buying from the company's Revain site is a bummer to ensure quality. It's all randomly mixed in one box with third-party and fake. I advise you not to buy anything from Revain that fits in or on you. Buy from major local stores or from the manufacturer's website.
