Brilliant!: Furniture

This convertible recliner is an amazing little piece. It's ready to use right out of the box, so you literally just have to take it out of the box it comes in. The blue color is quite pleasing - slightly darker than what I see on my computer screen, but very pleasing. no matter. As indicated and illustrated, it can be used as an upholstered chair with ottoman for watching TV, reading, lounging etc. The armrest/headrest simply folds down to touch the floor, you put the "ottoman" in the hole and it's ready to bed straight away. It's worth noting that in the fully extended "bed" position, it's 52 inches long - not very short, but not that long either. the fact that her little arms are hanging over the bottom edge means they are fully extended. If they tend to curl up a bit when they sleep, that's not a problem. The "ottoman" section can also be placed in the space between the armrests in "chair" mode and then becomes the perfect square that kids can use for just about anything their greedy little imaginations can think of. My grandkids have a bar in their playroom that only the elders can reach, so the younger ones (and smaller ones) figured out how to use that chair/bed/cube to climb up and reach the bar. They were excited. Ha. In terms of craftsmanship, this chair is very well made with very attractive and durable materials and fabrics. I predict it will last a very, very long time even though my grandkids wear pretty much everything. :) I won't say it's overpriced because I honestly don't know what goes into the production of something like this. I really think that the current price will not allow those who really want it to get it, so I hope it will go down a bit in the future. I would happily buy 1 or 2 more so the kids don't have to share a chair, but that would be a bit out of my financial comfort zone. So for now, let's use what we have. And whether we ever get another one or not, I'm still more than happy to give a two thumbs up recommendation for this one. Well made, brilliantly designed We love it!
