Beautiful wood finish, no water marks, no rings. Large area to adjust the angle of the left side while the right side allows you to hold multiple writing or art instruments. Note the ledge at the bottom of the adjustable side that prevents papers/books from sliding around. It is pleasant to draw, to write, to read. It's worth paying a little more for a textured wood finish.
