Review on LG 29WK600 W 29 inch UltraWide Monitor, 2560X1080P, Adjustable, ‎29WK600-W by Alexander Balasubramani

Big budget ultra wide

I have a small desk so I was looking for a flat 21:9 monitor for productivity and light gaming. Pros: Smaller footprint and better pixel density than a 34" 21:9 monitor - Small bezel (*see below) - Overclocked to 70Hz with no artifacts or frame loss NO free syncing on NVIDIA hardware via HDMI . -- Great colors, HDR "Effect" (not real HDR) looks great to my unexperienced eye. Cons: -- The stand is aluminum but has plastic parts. Still feels premium, but not as much as I was hoping. Not bad to deduct a star. -- No USB port. Thoughts: For me, the display is perfect. The bezel is thin but there are noticeable black bars. It's not the Infinity Edge display that I've seen and hoped for on some Dell laptops, but certainly wasn't expecting at this price point. The stand is very sturdy and looks better than the black plastic stands found on other LG models. A huge improvement over the standard 16:9 monitor. If you have desk space, I have no doubt that top-of-the-line 34-inch 1440p ultra-wide monitors offer more features and better performance than this product, albeit at a much higher price point.
