I bought this to hack Ikea Symfonsik's Sonos ecosystem for an existing receiver and speakers I have for my front deck. It worked great. Plug in the speaker cable, plug in the USB cable, set the level, done. Has been working without problems for several months now. Because it doesn't work and has minimal parts, I expect it to last forever. It's bigger than I expected but it's tucked away behind my entertainment center. Works in various scenarios where you need to convert speaker level audio to RCA inputs for amplifiers. It's analog sound, so if you're trying to be an audiophile, this may not be the instrument for you. Sounds great to me and works. I saved hundreds of dollars instead of buying a Sonos connector or Sonos amplifier.
