I wasn't sure what to expect from the composite sole but was surprised at how incredibly comfortable and lightweight it was. And surprisingly warm. I think it's actually too warm for a hot day but other than that it's great. The style is great, I really like the combination of textures and colors in tan. They don't stick together despite the obvious drawstring, which is stretchy and more of a decoration, although it does give a bit of support when tightening. I find them to be very comfortable to walk or even run in, although I'm not sure they are really made for running shoes. When I walked my dog in them for a bit, I found that they absorb shock very well. It certainly won't get you through a marathon, but because of how they felt during this short run, I think they're fantastic for everyday walking for anyone who doesn't mind a little less impact.
