These bumpers are awesome! It takes time for them to reach max inflation, so give them time. Make sure they have room to expand or they won't! When fully "inflated" they were much longer than I expected. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but they run almost the entire length of my double bed. They have a grippy bottom that really stays in place. I have it on my mattress pad but under the sheet and it won't budge. It offers enough bumper edge so my 15 month old won't fall over easily. Apparently she can climb over it when awake, but it keeps her in bed just tossing and turning in her sleep. I also don't think I could roll over it if I fell asleep. It's very hard. I actually ordered a second one for another bed in our house. Well worth it for my peace of mind!
