Looking at the reviews I have to say I've had the same experiences as the bad ones. I waited to tighten the main bolts but I still had to reattach the two bottom brackets to line up the holes. I felt it still wasn't where it sat. I even went back and loosened a few screws to set everything back up. I'm sure my floor isn't completely level, but I couldn't get the stand straight. I swapped the pins on the bottom so the adjustable ones are in the front instead of the back. This only aggravated the situation. The shelf was at different distances from the wall on the right and left. Also, the rear lower cross brace was right on my waterline. The bottom shelf was right above my toilet, so I couldn't install it or use the flush buttons on the ceiling. Conceptually it's a nice shelf and a few people like it, but I suggest you measure the plumbing and the top of the toilet first. I bought two other types of shelving and they both worked great so I didn't worry too much about them but I should have been more careful. Keep the packaging just in case. Disassembling and repacking is not that difficult.
