Review on ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Portable and Durable Ultralight Camping Cot Tent Bed with Aluminum Alloy Frame - Perfect for Outdoor Adventures and Travel, Ideal for Adults and Kids by Mike Palma

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value, comfortable, well made

I needed another portable lightweight cot for kayak camping . I have a Helinox Cot Lite, which is a super lightweight crib for $249. I was looking at various ultralight cribs at Revain and decided to try this one for $59. I wasn't expecting too much considering the price and the photos from the sellers. I first weighed the crib as listed at 5 pounds. I was very happy to see that he actually weighed just under 4.5 pounds. 4 pounds 7.5 ounces to be exact. Compared to the Helinox Lite Crib, the difference is 1 lb 10.5 oz. On my first inspection of the crib, I noticed that the bars are made of high quality aluminum alloy, but they are definitely "more powerful" than my Helinox. Also, the actual crib material appears to be heavier nylon than polyester, similar to the Helinox material. However, the material is high quality and appears to be very durable. The side pocket can also add some weight, but its handy size can hold your phone, pocket knife, etc. Installation: Very easy and quick. Like all Ultralight cots, it works on the principle of a stretching frame. There are two pillars running down the sides. They are tucked into rod pockets sewn into the fabric of the crib. Once both are in place, insert the legs of the crib. Use leverage and work slowly and it will be easy. I've uploaded a video which I hope will be helpful for setup tips. Comfort: This crib is 73 inches long and unlike most brands I've researched, they have a longer model (79 inches). For me at 6ft 210lbs this model is spot on. Width 23 inches, that's quite sufficient. I have broad shoulders and this crib didn't cause any comfort issues either. It is important that the nylon webbing does not sag. It is comfortable to sleep both on the back and on the side. It's much more comfortable than a sleeping mat. Overall I think this crib is excellent value for money and am very happy with the purchase. If 4.5 pounds isn't too heavy for your application, I highly recommend it. For me, this crib comes with camping with kayaks, bikes, and cars.

Pros
  • MULTIPURPOSE STORAGE BAG: with side pocket for phone, flashlight, keys, card, cash, card etc.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
