Review on πŸ“± ZAGG Folio Case with Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad Air - Sleek & Stylish Black by Noel Pilla

Not what I was hoping for - until the second

I'm having a hard time pairing this keyboard with my iPad. It disconnects for no apparent reason and I have to jump through hoops to get it working again. It's also so light that my iPad falls over if I open it too far. I'm really sorry nobody makes a solar keyboard like the Logitech ones I had for the iPad 3 that folds flat so the tablet can lie flat. On the plus side, the keyboard is easy to use and I love the backlight. Update September 30, 2016: I am writing to say that each of them should be very different from the others. I had to replace the keyboard I originally reviewed for because the hinge broke and it was essentially two pieces. I really wanted the best keyboard for my iPad, but looking at what's available, ZAGG is the only one with a backlight, and I use this feature a lot. So I repeated the order for the same thing and so far what a difference! I mentioned earlier that the old device often needed to connect to the iPad, which often required me to turn off and restart the iPad. It didn't take anything to make them break up. I've had this for over two weeks and was assembling it when I received it. Period. I even took the iPad on a trip to Europe and they worked great as a pair. The hinge feels very secure and firm, but time will tell how long it stays that way. I would immediately give 5 stars.

Pros
  • Ultrathin: Folio is one of the thinnest keyboards available.
Cons
  • Not the best
