I bought this as a new cosmetic bag as it was part of the description. It's gone for makeup and I could fit anything in it, but it just seems better suited for toiletries. The sections are not intended for makeup, except for a space where you can store 4 large brushes or a few more if they are small (eyeshadow brushes, etc.). Overall here are my pros and cons, especially for makeup use: PROS: • Easy to carry like a purse • Magnetic closure is very strong • Zippers keep everything together • Easy to clean • Handy hanging hook • Very durable/good made • Comfortable removable lower section CONS: • External chainring is very bulky, heavy and not removable/replaceable. • The bag is larger than other travel cosmetic bags. • The pockets/slits aren't designed for anything special/much guesswork when packing. • The bag itself is pretty heavy, so it's even heavier with a bunch of stuff in it. It's good overall, but I think it's better for real toiletries, not the best choice for makeup.
