I'm an Oyster and I always worry about hats because they always seem to be the same size: Too small This hat is large. I have a big head and long hair so I need a comfortable hat. I have a heck of a time trying to find matching hats and this one is just perfect. It fits over my head and really fits. I spent so much money on them they kind of fit but sit on my head so they just fall off when I tilt my head. I can drop these right over my ears and they fit perfectly. I am happy with the size of this hat and with the adjustable strap it fits people with a larger or smaller head than mine. enough (like the last one i got in this style) and what i got was more than i expected and fit perfect right away. must be washed. and how it can withstand abuse. I work as a technician and wear a hat because of the places I have to traverse and the hat protects my head from dust, cobwebs and other dangers associated with being in basements, attics and mud. areas. I'll try to update this review in a few months or a year when I have an idea of how well it's holding up, gosh I'll check it out. Update: Its durability has been great so far, this bad hat has endured several harsh conditions and saved my head from getting scratched by a nail while working in the attic. I've washed it about 10 times and now water rinsed it 25 times and as this hat has a slight tan to begin with I haven't noticed any wash fading but it does appear lighter on the bottom than the top. It could be sunburn or just hair products, sweat and natural oils darkening the hair. Also, the buckle doesn't corrode, it seems to keep a pretty nice look. I'm really surprised by such reliable quality at such a low price.
