Shoe companies don't bother me at all these days. I haven't found decent shoes since '08. I thought I could handle New Balance but the support I get from shoes is getting less and less these days. I practically had to have surgery on these shoes to make them wearable. These were substitutes for the latter because they were tight (actually only one was tight). I thought I was growing with the size of the shoe, but it turns out it was just poorly sewn. I searched and searched for decent shoes and actually found one called the Slow Man, which is similar in shape and durability to what the Sketchers used to be. I came to NB from Sketchers because they never seem to recover from the 2008 recession, they just add memory foam to everything. I had to change NB shoes every 6 months or so. I miss shoes that last a year or two of hard walking that I haven't done. For people like me, check out Slow Man or Sock Shoes. Just discovered and so happy to find shoes that don't look like they're made out of felt and rubber bands!
