very good attention to detail feels very warm with matte lining. The padding is pretty basic which means it looks like the shorts I have and shouldn't cause any problems so that's not a bad thing. They fit well and are snug. I don't think there's a reason to go up or down as they're just enough to allow for variation while still being supportive. I bought the blue ones and they are a great colour, the orange flash on the ankle is a nice touch. I only wish they would offer a version without pads.
