Attached to a hand held shower sprayer at the end of the sprayer and although it got a little longer it is much easier to operate than with another valve I've tried which was a cylinder you get from pushed through one side or the other - It jammed after only a few months of use. This valve stays tight and although it has good tension, my child can still operate it (with two hands). It can be tricky to operate with one hand if you have small hands (I use my fingers to hold the tube and my thumb to press the valve button), but it works quite well. The only thing that worries me is that there are many threads. male end - it's about 1/4 inch longer than I need, but I think more thread is better than not enough.
