Great case with lousy velcro (UPDATED)

I haven't found anything better than Nite Ize cases. The cases themselves are very durable. The clips absolutely won't let go of your belt. This is important to me as I narrowly avoided being run over by farm equipment when my phones slipped off my belt and fell off the tractor bed. This case fits my Galaxy S6 Active very well and still looks great after a year. I wanted this case specifically because I HATE the swivel hook. It is also not attached to the body due to the pivoting construction. I ripped off the hinge hooks (I told you I'm rude with my phones). I've never had a solid hook. It REALLY annoys me that now you can only find whorls because I really hate them. I was happy to find this one. This is a very durable case. BUT! The velcro doesn't hold up, especially when using a smartphone. With my previous clamshell cases, I didn't put my phone in and out as often, so the lousy cheap velcro material didn't wear out as quickly. I've had this case for less than a year, and the "velcro" (I quote it because real velcro is much stronger) looks like a cat's scratching post on its way to the landfill. It barely holds the flap, so while I'm sure about the clip, I'm less sure that the flap will hold the phone inside. I don't want a $600 phone destroyed because Night Ise wanted to save $0.12 by using velcro instead of velcro. I'm thinking of detailed disassembly and sewing to see if I can replace the cheap stuff with real velcro. This is a great case and well worth the effort. I only wish Nite Ize had thought that. UPDATE: 11-6-2017: I bought a replacement cover and apparently Nite Ize have updated the velcro pads they use. The new bag is almost a year old and the velcro still keeps the flap securely closed and doesn't look as worn as the previous bag after such a long time. I raised the stars from 3-4. It would be 5 but in the previous case it's a lousy velcro and not sure if other cases might have the same problem.
