D Line Wall Cable Protector

If I could rate this 10 stars I probably would. Of course, time will be a real test! I had really ugly black cords just lying on the floor. Ugly to say the least. So I thought I'd try these out. I just installed it along my motherboard (looks like a quarter circle) and it holds and hides the cables PERFECTLY. I have two wire leads and a very small flat ground wire. enough space for another cable, if required. There are no instructions. but it's pretty easy. Outside/front clear film, back self-adhesive film. I put it on a painted wall with no texture - so it's very flat and the perfect material for this purpose. A few things I learned from posting. My best bet was to attach the holder with string before sticking it to the wall - IMPORTANT - the sticky backing is RELIABLE - NO repositioning. You need to make sure you press the last piece as hard as you can - you'll still see a seam between each length - but less if you attach each piece carefully and firmly. Before removing the sticky backing, I "placed" it in the right position to see if I liked it and if it worked. Good thing, because once you remove the sticky backing, it will NOT come off without ripping the drywall. just for your information. I decided to position the exposed portion of the D-tube up to make it easier to insert or remove another cable. personal choice. The advert says it can be painted and I'll try that next. That said, I never hesitate to update my reviews when new information proves useful, and I can't wait to see if they stand the test of time and use. Meaning. Cables pull out etc. I don't see any reason why you couldn't use this when climbing a wall (think a TV hung on the wall etc - personal taste - but remember, duct tape is strong and detaches won't move without tearing/damaging the paint. As far as textured surfaces go - wall textures for example, I think this tape is such a positive, as long as it's not too textured it should work - but honestly I haven't tried it ( As with most things that use tape, the smoother the surface, the better it will stick.) I hope you found this information useful!

Pros
  • D-Line Large Raceway with wood grain effect is popular for hiding cables in wood environments. The wood look matches the decor and is a striking visual element thanks to color contrasts!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
