Fits closer to youth size 10.

I bought these for my 10.5 year old son. He is 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 74 pounds. He is slim and athletic. You are perfect for him. He loves her. The material is a very soft, brushed fleece. . If your son or daughter is taller than my son, they will look short unless they have short legs. Another inch long would be perfect. The waist area is stretchable, leaving plenty of space. They say it's a size 10 rather than a 12.
